SSL support in future version?

Hey there,

Just wondering if SSL support might be coming in a future version?

And, I must say that this app breathes some life into my hopes of finding a modern IRC client for Windows!

I hadn't planned to add SSL support, but that's only because nobody has asked for it yet. I'll start looking into it for a future release.

SSL is now supported in a limited fashion. That is, you can connect to servers using SSL by either checking the checkbox in the server settings or by putting a + in front of the port number in the /server command (like mIRC) - e.g. /server someircserver.com +6697

The client does not yet authenticate the server, however. I haven't decided what to do about importing and using new certs yet. So, encryption works, but the authenticity of the server is not yet verified.

SSL is wanted! Thanks for a proper implementation!
