Best IRC client to date.  I am not sure how hard this is to create, but any chance we can setup tor usage?

Keep up the good work.

Thanks very much!

I'm not very familiar with tor, so I'll have to research it a bit.

A quick google suggests that SOCKS5 support may do the trick. That would also be useful to people behind firewalls. I suspect it won't be terribly difficult.

Good news - it was extremely easy to add SOCKS5 support. I have tested it against a few public proxy servers, but haven't tried tor. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work though. From their documentation, I believe you set the proxy server to and the port to 9050 by default.

I've uploaded a beta version of 1.5.1 so you can try it out here:

The new proxy settings are in the "Network" section of the settings dialog.

Awesome that should sure protect me from random IP based attacks on IRC.  Thanks a lot.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

This is really the best IRC Client I've ever seen.

Ryein: let me know whether you have any success with the SOCKS5 feature in 1.5.1 beta.

Landmine: Much appreciated!
